A graduate of the University of Kentucky in Speech and Communication Disorders, Lyn has always been intrigued by communication and helping those with various speech disorders regain their ability to communicate.  A lifelong resident of Central Kentucky she found the population she loved to work with at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center ((VAMC) in Lexington.  She has numerous publications in speech and medical journals reporting on her research in telehealth.

Her deep love of history sparked her desire to pursue writing an historical fiction novel, another realm of communicating ideas to others.  Her interests also include hiking and kayaking. Lyn was part of a group who initiated “Team River Runner” at the VAMC a kayaking group for veterans.  

After retirement, Lyn and her husband moved to Richmond, Kentucky where she involves herself in community activities and travel.
